The Whole Self Recovery team works together to support the patient throughout the process. Treatments of diverse healing techniques are designed to work together to deepen the experience. The combination of diet, exercise, Kundalini Yoga, meditation, and personalized healing treatments revitalize the body and its life energy (prana) to provide an opportunity for a deep self transformation. Once cleansing has begun, the mind quiets and the capacity of the spirit becomes engaged and emerges to fulfill ones destiny. This program establishes a platform of wellness and creates a sustained opportunity to engage the soul, the essence of being, which is unlimited and infinite.
The program combines medical, yogic and spiritual psychology to neutralize the polarities of the mind and bring about a tranquil state of peace. Each person is individually assessed and given customized therapies. Each client receives homework, meditations and exercises for self reflection. Many of the meditations practiced can help to alter brain chemistry and function; and help to reprogram thought patterns in order to facilitate a more successful way of thinking, communicating and being. Meditation gives one the power to process adversities and create solutions. The program gives you the capacity to recalibrate your thought patterns so that you are no longer haunted and victimized by your habits, your thoughts, and your past.

Sulis is particularly inspired by the cycles, seasons, and the wild adventure of being alive and which inform the inherent wisdom of the body. Her own journey of healing and training in the healing arts began formally in 2004 with immersion in the subtle energy of Reiki and the embodied practices of yoga and Ayurveda; Cranial Sacral Therapy and Polarity Therapy are now her greatest influences grounded in a nurturing and anatomically precise practice of massage. Her personal healing and study have been parallel paths lending a particular depth and compassion to Sulis's work and enabling her to walk with others as a guide and witness: she walks talk and her path and passion are dedicated to living resources for embodied living.
Stacy’s life changed dramatically when she began practicing yoga over 13 years ago. By accessing her physical and energy body, she awoke from her corporate driven numbness and began a journey of experiencing all that life has to offer. Stacy encourages her yoga students to listen to their bodies and get out of their heads. Her goal is to help fellow yogis to let go and recognize that with clarity, patience, honesty and compassion that less effort in asana will enable their energy and physical bodies to release more fully into their poses and on a greater level, their daily lives off the mat.
Equally passionate about regularly hitting the wide variety of trails available in Santa Fe, Stacy founded Yogihiker with the intent of offering a unique experience by combining hiking with yoga on carefully scoped out sections of trails within the pristine wilderness of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Stacy brings Yogi Hiker to Whole Self Recovery.

I signed up for a residential program in November 2009 to quit smoking and get my stress level under control. I achieved both but discovered much more. Cleanse leaders Deva and Dr. Kartar Khalsa are amazing. They work with you on a lot of levels to ferret out what’s underneath your issues and bring that into the light. They heal with a blend of amazing whole foods and supplements, acupuncture and other body treatments, Kundalini yoga, Ayurveda and personal counseling. This is a very sweet, complete experience I would recommend to anyone!

I took part in the wellness residential 10 Day Cleanse in Fall of 2009. I had been looking for a Kundalini yoga retreat online and found The Cleanse of Sante Fe. I came to Espanola with an open mind, excited to do as much Kundalini as possible and curious about The Cleanse experience. I would recommend this adventure to anyone who wants to get their relationship with their body back. Ten days of yoga, amazing food, and time for reflection and you understand what your body needs better then you probably ever have.
Deva and Kartar run the program with grace and kindness, as well as an incredible depth of knowledge about the physical and spiritual body. They are fun and wonderful guides during the journey. You leave feeling, cleansed, but also refreshed, grounded and energized. It has been about four months since I did The Cleanse and I still eat veggies with almost every meal. I don’t drink coffee any more and amazingly I don’t need it. I do yoga or exercise almost every day and my body sends me clear messages when I don’t. These aren’t things I have to make an effort to do. It isn’t like a…

My story as an addict and the events leading up to my years of using are not unusual. My release from the seemingly unrelenting grip and all too deep hook of heroin addiction (as well as a litany of other drugs) is pretty remarkable from the conventional perspective of treatments centers and the 12 step programs. To me, however, it was not totally miraculous, all though the process was powerful enough to be called a miracle. I have been clean now for nearly two years, and have had an accelerated recovery based primarily on my new habits and how they work into the consciousness. I have accelerated my career way passed where it was before, serve a community, have been married now for over 7 months, healed the wounds I inflicted on my family (trust has been earned and continues to be needed to be earned), and most importantly to be able to have all of this, I have found a way to find peace, calmness, happiness, energy, and motivation from within myself unlike previously were I was on a constant search outside of myself.
The story leading to me depending on drugs is a fairly normal one. A difficult and…

Their approach to treatment promotes rapid, sustainable change like no other program I have encountered. And on top of it, their team of healers is not only highly qualified but also compassionate and uniquely dedicated to uplifting, energizing, and calling in the best in each individual. For anyone who truly desires and is ready to change his/her life, Whole Self Recovery is unprecedented in its ability to provide powerful tools and support in an incredibly loving, uplifting, profoundly life-altering program.
In my opinion, this program has created the template for the new paradigm in treatment for everything from physical issues to addictions, trauma, and a variety of mental/emotional/spiritual conditions.

I have been meaning to contact you ever since I graduated from Acupuncture School. I am currently practicing in New York City. I would never have even started on this path of becoming a healer if I had not spent those 41 days with the both of you back in 2000. Thank you so much for that experience. I am a better person now because of the issues I resolved and changes I went through under your care. I still practice Kundalini Yoga regularly, a practice I would rather not do without.
